Final CFP: 2013 AAP New Zealand Conference (Auckland, 08-12 December 2013) - Paper submission deadline & early bird registrations closing date, November 15

Final Call for Papers: Extended Deadline

2013 AAP New Zealand Conference
08-12 December, The University of Auckland

The Conference is designed to give academics and postgraduate students in Philosophy and related subjects the opportunity to present and discuss their papers. All areas of philosophy are welcome. Choose between 60-minute and 90-minute long sessions.

The opening address will be given by Prof Stephen Davies (Auckland) on the evening of Sunday, 08 December. On the evening of Tuesday, 10 December, Dr Karen Jones (Melbourne) will give this year's Robert C. Solomon Lecture, to which Conference guests are warmly invited.

You may attend the Conference as a presenter or without presenting a paper. Please register your attendance online through the following link:

The extended deadline for submitting paper titles and abstracts (through the online registration form) is 15 November 2013. That is also the closing date for Early Bird Registrations. We are now accepting second papers from those already accepted for a first paper (at our discretion). Please note that priority will still be given to first papers.

Among other attractions, we are happy to announce that the Monday of the Conference week will feature a wine tasting event. (Details about the event and about bookings can be found online.)

Please also note that on the Friday immediately after the Conference (13 December) we are hosting a workshop on The Philosophy of Cyber Security: Confronting Practice with Reflection. (Details about the event can be found online.)

We have a limited amount of funding with which to assist postgraduate students from New Zealand who present at the Conference. Please visit our website for more details (select 'Student Travel Support' in the menu).
